Appeal & Review

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) Merits Review is a process that provides individuals and businesses with an avenue to challenge certain decisions made by Australian government agencies. The AAT conducts independent reviews of these decisions to ensure they are fair, just, and in accordance with the law. Through the AAT Merits Review, individuals and businesses have an opportunity to present their case, provide evidence, and seek a review of the initial decision to potentially have it overturned or modified. The AAT aims to provide a transparent and accessible avenue for seeking a fair outcome in administrative matters.

A Notice of Intention to Consider Cancellation (NOICC) is a formal communication issued by an immigration or visa authority to notify an individual that their visa may be cancelled. It serves as a preliminary step in the visa cancellation process, allowing the individual an opportunity to respond and present their case before a final decision is made. The NOICC outlines the reasons for considering visa cancellation, provides a timeframe for response, and advises on the consequences and potential rights to seek review or appeal. It is an important document that triggers a process that may lead to the cancellation of an individual's visa
